Maison's 1-Year Birthday Celebration

There's a lot to celebrate at Maison next Thursday.  First of all, it gave me a reason to stop being lazy and keep up with this blog.  Secondly, it marks our return to Napoleon Bistro Lounge, where it all began.  And most importantly, this month we celebrate Maison's 1-Year Anniversary.

M.I.A.'s new single & video "Born Free" (AKA Ginger Genocide): NSFW

I've been anxiously waiting for M.I.A's new album to come out in June, and yesterday I heard the first single, "Born Free."  I was definitely surprised by the song- it's more raw and more rock- makes sense that it's a rip from Suicide's "Ghost Rider."  I think this is a good move for her to move away from Lady Gaga  her copycats.

I like the song even more after watching the music video- apparently this ginger genocide epic is already banned on youtube.

MAISON's April in Paris Set List
