MAISON: A Salute To Daft Punk Preview Mix

One of the first times Shea and I DJ'd together (I believe at Duplex Diner), we had a complete love fest over the EASTAR remix of Daft Punk's "Something About Us."  From there, we decided to throw a party dedicated to French House and Maison was born.

With the release of Daft Punk's first new music since 2006 with the soundtrack for Tron Legacy, Shea and I will be saluting Daft Punk at Maison this Thursday, December 16th at Napoleon Bistro Lounge.

in the new Tron trailer we hear a hint of what Daft Punk has been cooking up for the film- mostly i've been just exited about Daft Punk's new music, but this trailer gets me pumped for the film as well.

awww- rehoboth- hard to believe it's been a year since graduation, my 3 week stint in rehoboth, and then off to iowa w/ the obama campaign. reminds me of the time i fell in love w/ mgmt.

it's about time they release some new music, dudes and dudedettes. at least people still cover/remix the shit out of them. say what you want about katy perry- but she at least listens to good music- i like her cover of electric feel. and also here's a great mash up w/ coldplay and daft punk called "kids in technicolor"

I'm not sure why I've been resisting the huge Dutch Man Don Diablo for so long now- I guess sometimes have a tendency to resist what is overly blogged and hyped about- but, alas, he finally got to me. I think it was seeing a million remixes for his song w/ the UK's rapper Example called Hooligans. Here's the new video for Hooligan's featuring Example.
