I'm DJ'ing ON A BOAT- again this Saturday! I return to Wake Up and Dream's Rock the Boat Summer Series! Don't worry- the yacht is covered so we'll be hurricane proof!

Wake Up and Dream presents a summer series of cocktail cruises on the Potomac to bring young professionals together and raise awareness for education-related issues in Washington, DC.

The second of two events will take place on August 29th, 2009, with proceeds benefiting Sitar Arts Center, a nonprofit organization that provides multidisciplinary arts education to the children and youth of Washington, DC in a nurturing, creative community where young people discover their inherent talents and gifts.

WHEN: Saturday, August 29th

WHERE: The Celebrity DC (1300 Maine Ave SW (Waterfront))

COST: $60 (this is for charity, folks)

TIME: 7:30-11:30PM

ATTIE: Semi-Formal

Rock the Boat was a blast on Saturday! Lots of Michael. Lots of dancing. Lots of questionable "straight" guys. One was a dead-ringer for the hot guy from Glee. Twass fun. Busy Weekend Schedule

Whew- there's a lot going on in the District this weekend. You'll have some decisions to make, and plenty of opportunities to come jam out w/ me.

THURSDAY

Poprocks at Duplex Diner!

I'll be filling in for Chris Tassa. Bozick and I are a deadly combo- lots of raving and I got my dancin' shoes ready for tonight

FRIDAY

I'm back at the Diner w/ Bradley, which is always a blast! This party is starting a little bit earlier- like 8ish or so. I think it's someone's bday?

SATURDAY

Now this is where things get a little tricky. I'm DJ'ing on a boat for a charity event and for the children. Summer Camp's stage extravaganza Crack is at Town, and Shift is at Cobalt. There are a number of ways to do this- if you're feeling charitable, come rock out on the boat with me. If you've never seen Crack before- GO! It's hilarious and suburbia themed this time. And Shift is definitely a good way to end the night. AND DJ Lil'el is guest DJ'ing at Cobalt- which i think will be cool

Rock the Boat Daily Throwback 6/24

Yo- if you haven't heard, I'm DJ'ing this Saturday ON A BOATTT! It's called Rock The Boat, and it supports my buddies' non-profit called Wake Up and Dream. I think I'm going to play Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" and Andy Samberg and T-Pain's "I'm on a Boat" on loop the whole time. So you should come- proceeds are for the children!
