some of you may remember i posted a hey champ remix of french horn rebellion's "beaches & friends"- but now i'm super hooked on hey champ's own music. apparently they're on lupe's label and are chicago boys to boot. this video is genius and i'm hoping it's what aural pleasure looks like this friday! check it out and d/l some jams! hey champ is very retro/disco/electro- no surprise i dig it.

Lupe's New Album!
Heard my first leak off of Lupe Fiasco's upcoming LP "We Are Lasers." The track is called "Shining Down" and features his favorite vocalist Matthew Santos. I'm liking it!
BTW- the skull picture at the top of the blog is from a picture I took and photoshop'd at Lupe's last tour when he was at the 9:30 Club back in like fall '08 or something. Definitely ready for some new music from him.
Oh- and I can't find the mp3 so you're going to have to stream it from hype and like it.
