Tomorrow night is the big night! I've been waiting very impatiently for the 2nd Aural Pleasure, and I'm so excited to have both Lil' El and Crash Landon DJ'ing with me. Aural Pleasure starting at 10PM SHARP @ Dahlak (1771 U Street). ALL beers are only $4 (including imports) and Absolut Vodka and Absolut Mandarin mixers are $5. Ellen, Landon, and I are also making some very special surprise treats!

Thank you all so much who came out to the premier of Aural Pleasure last night. I had an absolute blast. Gay Hip Hop night- fun stuff. hip hop meets electronica. rap meets indie. r&b meets house. pop meets go-go. and everything in between. i've been very fascinated by the convergence of the indie rock world and the hip hop world. it's growing at an alarming rate, and, quite frankly, it's an exciting time in music.

you may have heard some grumblings via my facebook wall and an article about me in the washington blade (here's the link if you missed it!), but i am starting a new monthly dance party at dahlak called "aural pleasure." i'm going to play a mix of electronica, r&b, and hip hop. it will be dance-tastic though and something different.

The party starts on July 17th- a Friday night at Dahlak (across from Duplex Diner, old Mixtape location). Come check it out around 9:30PM and RSVP on Facebook.
