so i started a new website for maison called MAISON DC, where you'll find the most up to date info on Maison plus other TMY events.  I'm being really gimmicky and saying that this month's maison is the "official Maison website launch party."  But the site will begin producing content immediately, unlike this page!

TMY specific events (just pictures of flyers really) will be on my DJ TMY tumblr from now on.

Good Goose's New Mixtape

You may remember a while back the Pocket Gays and I hooked up with DJ Good Goose (NYC) at Velvet Lounge.  Dude is dope and just came out w/ a new mixtape.  Some fun mash-ups and remixes and definitely worth a listen.  It's called Lyin' with the Flesh, Flyin' with the Goose.

Pocket Pleasure Presents: OSCAR NIGHT @ The Donovan House [Zentan]

The Pocket Gays and myself are teaming up again to bring you the bestest and gayest Oscar Night Party known to man (the men in DC at least).  We will have live coverage of the Oscar's this Sunday, February 27th at Zentan (the restaurant at the Donovan House).


The party starts at 6pm with DJ sets by the Pocket Gays and myself while we watch scenes from the Red Carpet.  Zentan is offering their Happy Hour Menu all night long, as well as $50.00 Moet Buckets (4 splits), $8.00 Copola Splits, $8.00 Cava.  Sushi and wings will also be available in case you get hungry.

Think you know who is going to win at this year's Oscars?  Submit your picks for this year's winners in our very own Oscar Pool.  Do well and you could win prizes such as a $50 gift certificate to Zentan plus drink tickets and free cover to upcoming events in DC.

At 8pm, we'll have live audio and video on the big screen in the main room as the Oscar's begin.  Music provided by the DJs will continue in the back room, where flat screens will have the Oscar's on with closed captioning.  During commercials, the DJ sets will be played in the entire restaurant.

Updated DJ Schedule

Tonight is Pocket Pleasure w/ the Pocket Gays at Rendezvous Lounge.  $4 Rails/Beers All Night.  Come check out DC's newest gay bar- it's pretty cool.  Our buddy Mikey is DJ'ing there every Tuesday, and it's definitely a cool spot.

Tomorrow night I'm at Tabaq for my regular gig.

Saturday Night I'm DJing Matt Bailer's ultra-fun party Peach Pit at DC9.  All 90's music, and you better believe I'm playing some old-school 90's hip-hop and RnB. I'm on from 11-12.

Monday night I'm back at Tabaq for the Boy's Night Party.

And finally, next Thursday is Maison.  I just put up the event on FB and made the flyer, so enjoy.  This month we have DJ Lemz from Bmore!  I also got a bunch of new surprises for Maison for this month and in the future that I'll be announcing shortly, so stay posted.

The only other real update that wasn't included in the original DJ schedule is that I'm doing a SOVA Sessions party over at Sova (duh..) on H Street NE on February the 19th. With a bunch of homies including DJ Ratt Moze!

Maison: Bonne Année

I hope you guys are excited about my progress at making event flyers as I am.  I am particularly fond of my latest one for tomorrow's Maison Party at Napoleon Bistro Lounge in (the good side) of Adams Morgan.  This month I have guest DJ Chris Nitti spinning all night long with me.  As always, $5 champagne from 9-11PM (and I think $7 after that) + $4 domestic beers all night.
