I'm not sure why I've been resisting the huge Dutch Man Don Diablo for so long now- I guess sometimes have a tendency to resist what is overly blogged and hyped about- but, alas, he finally got to me. I think it was seeing a million remixes for his song w/ the UK's rapper Example called Hooligans. Here's the new video for Hooligan's featuring Example.

New Eminem

While crack a bottle and the sarah palin music video for we made you are pretty cute- i'm more excited to hear some of the darker songs that are on Eminem's new album "Relapse", which is set to be released on May 15th. A lot has happened since his last album in 2004- a second divorce to Kimberly and Proof's death- so this album has a lot more going on in it than his whole Kathy Griffin style of making fun of celebrities rap.. plus you can't beat Dr. Dre as the producer. Here's what Em had to say in XXL:

Little Boots just turned 25 years old? WTF am I doing w/ my life- she had this to say about the big 2-5 on her blog:

She spent her 25th living like a god in Tokyo- so I got 1 year and 3 months to become equally as awesome- wish me luck.

Just found this little gem- it's Phoenix covering "Playground Love" by Air... As if I haven't been listening to their entire leaked album "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix" on repeat for the past few months. It comes out officially on May 26th.

If you haven't heard their songs yet (which means you haven't seen me DJ before) go to their myspace and stream a bunch of songs (favorites are 1901 and Lisztomania) and then go download them from Hype Machine.

And if anyone can get me an extra ticket to their show at the Rock and Roll Hotel on H Street I would love you forever. It's awesome/ridiculous that they're playing at such a small venue.

Dug up the new Annie single Anthonio at the beach and I'm loving it. Apparently a new album will be released in September of '09, but for now I'm digging the endless remixes and hopefully some more of the album will be released over the summer. You may remember this Norwegian bombshell from the song I know UR girlfriend hates me or her cover of Two of Hearts- all can be found on her MySpace. The song is a great summer anthem about a girl who meets a guy at Carnivale that won't return her calls- and the last lyric reveals she's preggers now. It's classic.

The Fred Falke remix raves out on the Richter scale at 8.2- which is no surprise- how does Fred Falke do it? He's killing it right now.

I know Madonna went to her NYC show but not that Lourdes was there too- according to my Sean-Ye, before the show huge dudes in black suits rolled into the show, spread the crowd apart, and brought in Queen Madonna herself.

Maybe Michelle Obama will take Sasha and Malia to the show when it's rescheduled here in DC.. hahahha- there's a better chance of that happening than the show getting rescheduled.

Yo- so I've settled on a DJ name finally.. after flirting w/ DJ Tommy, DJ T-CO (love this one, Sean-Ye), and others... I think I've decided to cop the whole The Management goes MGMT over-popular vowel reduction trend and take up DJ TMY... but mostly because it rhymes with TMI.

Oh, and DJ TMY is still a part of CB Radio (w/ Bradley Shurman) coming at you this Thursday night at The Diner after the Jeffrey Self show at Busboys and Poets on 14th St. If you want to go to Jeffrey Self's show called People I Slept With Who Never Called Me Back People- click here. He's a HILARIOUS blogger/comedian/wit-titian so definitely check out his blog and his act in DC.
